Terms of Service

    Please read carefully. By creating an account or using AcademAI, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part, do not use the platform.
  

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the AcademAI platform ("Service"), operated by AcademAI ("we", "us", "our"). By registering an account, making a payment, or using any feature of the Service, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old and agree to these Terms in full.

2. Description of Service

AcademAI is an AI-powered academic tools platform that assists Nigerian students in generating academic documents including final year project chapters, SIWES logbooks, SIWES reports, seminar reports, presentation slides, and GPA calculation tools. The Service is provided on a credit-based and one-time payment model.

3. Academic Integrity

Important: AcademAI is an AI writing assistance tool. All content generated must be reviewed, edited, and properly cited before submission. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of this platform complies with your institution's academic integrity policy.

We strongly advise all users to:

Use generated content as a starting point or reference, not as a final submission without personal review and modification.
Verify all citations and references before including them in academic work.
Understand and comply with your institution's policy on AI-assisted writing.
Add your own analysis, observations, and original insights to all generated content.

AcademAI does not encourage or condone academic fraud or plagiarism. We shall not be held liable for any academic disciplinary action arising from a user's submission of AI-generated content in violation of institutional policies.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree not to share your account with others. AcademAI reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts found to be shared, sold, or used fraudulently.

You must provide accurate information when registering. Impersonating another person or using a false identity is strictly prohibited.

5. Credits and Payments

AcademAI operates on a credit system for free-tier features and a one-time payment model for project unlocks and premium reports. The following terms apply to all financial transactions:

All payments are final. We do not offer refunds once credits have been spent or a project has been unlocked and content generated, except as required by Nigerian consumer protection law.
Credits are non-transferable between accounts and have no cash value.
Payments are processed securely by Paystack. We do not store your card details.
Prices displayed on the platform are in Nigerian Naira (NGN) and are inclusive of applicable taxes.
We reserve the right to change pricing at any time, with prior notice posted on the platform.

6. Refund Policy

Due to the nature of AI-generated digital content, we do not offer refunds once content has been generated. This includes project chapters, SIWES reports, seminar reports, and slides. If you encounter a technical error that prevented successful generation, contact support@peaciva.com within 48 hours and we will investigate and resolve the issue.

Refunds for verified payment failures (where you were charged but content was not generated) will be processed within 7 business days.

7. Referral Programme

Users may earn bonus credits by referring new users who register and use the platform. Referral credits are awarded at our discretion. We reserve the right to revoke referral credits if we detect fraudulent referral activity, including self-referral using multiple accounts.

8. Intellectual Property

The AcademAI platform, including its software, design, branding, and underlying AI models, is the intellectual property of AcademAI and its licensors. You may not copy, reverse engineer, reproduce, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without explicit written permission.

Content you generate using the platform remains yours. By using AcademAI, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process your content for the purpose of delivering the Service.

9. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use AcademAI to:

Generate content intended to deceive, defraud, or harm others.
Create or distribute spam, malicious code, or harmful content.
Attempt to access other users' accounts or data.
Systematically scrape or harvest data from the platform.
Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute generated content without authorisation.
Use automated bots or scripts to generate content at scale without our written permission.
Circumvent any access controls, payment mechanisms, or credit systems.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

AcademAI is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

Generated content will be error-free, academically accurate, or accepted by your institution.
The platform will be available at all times without interruption.
AI-generated citations and references will be verifiable or accurate.

You are responsible for verifying all generated content before use.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, AcademAI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to academic penalties, lost data, or loss of opportunity. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to AcademAI in the 3 months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account, without prior notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to access the platform ceases immediately. You may request deletion of your data as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes by email.
